Propero
Maintenance & repairs

Logging a maintenance request

Create a request from the Maintenance screen with a title, category, description, and photos, then move it through Open, In Progress, and Resolved.

Open the property hub and tap the Maintenance pulse card, then tap + in the top right, or scroll down to Options and choose Create New Request.

You need a tenant assigned to the property first. If one isn't set up yet, Propero blocks the request with a "No tenant assigned to property" warning.

Request fields

FieldRequired
TitleYes
CategoryYes (defaults to Other)
DescriptionYes
PhotosNo

Category

Plumbing, Electrical, Appliance, Structural, Heating, Cooling/AC, Pest Control, Locks/Security, Garden/Outdoor, Cleaning, Other

Photos

Add up to five photos at a time from your library. You can add more later from the request's own screen, either from the toolbar or the Photos section.

Status lifecycle

Every request moves through the same three landlord-facing stages, shown as a tappable status bar at the top of the request:

StatusMeaning
OpenLogged, not yet underway
In ProgressWork is scheduled or underway
ResolvedComplete

Tap any stage to jump straight to it, in either direction. You don't have to move through them in order. Scheduling an appointment with a tradesperson also moves an Open request to In Progress automatically. See Tradies & assigning work.

Tracking a request

Each request keeps a running record as you work it:

  • Quick actions. While a request is Open or In Progress, Call and Email buttons contact your tenant directly, using the phone number and email on their profile.
  • Details. The description, category, and the date you logged it.
  • Photos. Anything attached when you created the request, plus anything added since.
  • Tradesperson. Who's assigned, the appointment time, and (once resolved) the invoice. See Tradies & assigning work.
  • Activity. A timeline of everything that's happened: status changes, calls, tenant emails, photos added, invoices, and any notes you add. Tap Add note to write your own. Notes are only visible to you.
