Reports
Generate a rental ledger for the current tenancy or a tax summary for a date range up to two years. Both are free on every account, no Pro needed.
Propero generates two financial documents from your lease and payment records: a rental ledger and a tax summary. Both are free on every account, neither requires Propero Pro.
Rent receipts build instantly on your device. Ledgers and tax summaries are generated by Propero's servers, so they need a network connection and take a few seconds.
Rental ledger
A formal statement of account for the property's current tenancy, covering lease start up to today (or the lease end date, if that's already passed). You can't pick a different date range, by design: a forward-dated ledger would invent not-yet-due rent as false arrears.
Create it from:
- Rental Payment Overview (property hub > Rent pulse card) > scroll to Options > Create Rental Ledger, or
- Earnings tab > Documents > Rent ledger
If you have more than one property and no property filter active on Earnings, you'll be asked which property first.
A preview sheet shows the tenancy span, number of payments, total collected, and any arrears, before you tap Generate & Share to produce the real PDF and open the share sheet. The document itself lists every debit, credit, and running balance, plus the tenant's paid-to date and a closing balance showing whether they're in credit or arrears.
Tax summary
An income-and-expenses statement for a date range you choose, capped at two years.
Pick a preset (Financial Year, Previous FY, Year to Date, or Previous Calendar Year), or switch on Custom Date Range and set your own From and To dates.
Create it from the same two entry points as the ledger: Rental Payment Overview > Options > Generate Tax Summary, or Earnings > Documents > Tax summary.
The preview totals rent collected against expenses (maintenance invoices plus manually recorded expenses, grouped by category) into a net income figure, with a note to consult a tax professional. Tap Generate Tax Summary PDF for the real document: it itemises every income and expense transaction in the range plus the category breakdown, with the same disclaimer printed on every page.
Why the two-year cap
The cap is enforced when the PDF is generated, not just in the date picker. It keeps the document to a sane size, most landlords only need a single financial year at a time.
Not the same as a rent receipt
| Document | Scope |
|---|---|
| Rent receipt | A single payment, built on your iPhone |
| Rental ledger | The full current tenancy, up to today |
| Tax summary | Whatever date range you choose |
See Statements & receipts for receipt detail.

Propero has no bulk export. Share rent receipts, the rental ledger, tax summaries, and condition report PDFs one at a time via the iOS share sheet.
