Notifications

Rent, inspection, maintenance, and advertising alerts, the in-app bell list on Home, and managing push permissions in iOS Settings > Propero.

Propero sends notifications two ways: push notifications from iOS, and an in-app notification list you can browse any time. There's no in-app screen to toggle individual notification types on or off. To manage push notifications themselves, use iOS Settings > Propero.

Enable notifications

Propero asks for notification permission early in setup, with a Never miss a thing prompt. If you tapped Not now, or want to check your settings later, go to iOS Settings > Propero and turn Notifications on.

In-app notification list

Tap the bell icon in the top-right of Home to see your notification history, grouped into Today, Yesterday, This Week, and Earlier. Tap a notification to jump to what it's about. Swipe left to archive one, or use the ••• menu to mark everything as read or clear the list.

What Propero notifies you about

CategoryExamples
RentDue today, due yesterday, overdue by several days (landlord only, since tenants don't use the app)
Condition reportsIngoing report due soon, routine inspection coming up, outgoing report due soon
MaintenanceAppointment reminders, sent at 9am the day before and 8am on the day
SetupNudges to finish onboarding, add your first property, set up a lease, or add bank details, plus an occasional check-in if you've been away for a couple of weeks
AdvertisingPayment reminders, listing expiry, and a nudge when a lease ending soon unlocks advertising

Rent reminder timing

Rent statuses and reminders update once each day at 9am AEST. A status may not change instantly when you record a payment.

See Late rent & reminders.

Document and compliance expiry

Documents and compliance items show their due and expiry states in the app itself. Propero doesn't currently send a push notification for every document or compliance due date, so it's worth checking Property Health from time to time rather than relying on a push alone.

See Reminders & expiry dates.

Troubleshooting

If notifications stop arriving, check iOS Settings first, then see Troubleshooting.
